Whether it’s been six months or six years since your last dental appointment, we’d love to help maintain your smile!

Preventive appointments are the heart of a positive oral care routine. Routine visits help our team prevent cavities and catch small oral issues before they become more involved.

Our Hygiene Team

We are blessed to have over 50+ years of experience in our hygiene department at Ching Dental Care. No matter what your dental hygiene or preventive needs may be, you can rest assured that you will have access to the best of care thanks to our highly-trained and caring team. A healthy mouth can be advantageous to the rest of your overall health and well-being.

What to Expect During Routine Visits

We’ll start by reviewing your oral health and history. If you are due, a series of x-rays will be taken. The x-rays can help to diagnose problems that are underneath the surface of the teeth and gums. Then, our hygienists will clean your teeth and our doctors will perform an oral exam to ensure that your mouth is healthy. We will answer any questions or priorities you may have. You will be educated if there are any issues present and what the best course of action is to take to rectify the situation.

Why do you need Dental Exams and Cleanings?

The reason you need to have dental exams and cleanings done is because they are an integral part of a healthier mouth. Dental exams can check for things such as:

  • Decay
  • Loose fillings, crowns, and bridge work
  • Oral cancer
  • Infections
  • Gingivitis and gum disease

Cleanings are crucial because even the best at-home care cannot get rid of built-up tartar and calculus (hardened plaque). If left alone, this buildup can irritate the gums and cause gingivitis, as well as tooth decay. Exams and cleanings are important for every member of the family.

What makes you a good candidate for Dental Exams and Cleanings?

Everyone is a good candidate for dental exams and cleanings. Even if you have a full set of dentures, you should still visit the office regularly for checkups. Exams can help to put a stop to problems before they are allowed to get worse. Cleanings get rid of hardened plaque, stains and tartar for brighter teeth and fresher breath.
